Litigating Takings Claims in the US Court of Federal Claims

Takings cases against the federal government over $10,000 must be filed in the US Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC, a specialized court with national jurisdiction located next to the White House. Our Arent Fox Federal Takings team attended the Court’s annual judicial conference this week. Attending this conference gives us valuable insight by enabling us to meet with judges, Department of Justice attorneys, and many other private attorneys who practice in this area.

Guarding Property Rights

I recently attended the Brigham-Kanner Property Rights conference at the College of William & Mary Law School. This annual gathering is a who’s-who of eminent property law professors and legal practitioners from across the country who expound upon the latest developments in the law. I often speak at this conference and serve on its advisory committee.
